The Consortium ___________________

The Town of Amherst is home to the Five College Consortium. Centered around UMass Amherst, the flagship school of the Massachusetts State Universities, the other four schools are the prestigious Amherst College, Hampshire College, Smith College, and Mount Holyoke College.

Students attending any one of these institutions may take courses and receive credit at any other of these schools.

The Five Colleges are connected with free buses, available for public use.
